Vision from within
The Vision that is within us has to be processed by asking ourselves good questions. Acts 20:28 says, " Take heed to yourself and the flock of God" There is an order. "ourselves" then the "flock of God." Many times leaders run themselves ragged taking care of the "needs of the flock" We must all take time to assess: Are we in line with God's plan for our lives? Are we doing what "Fulfills" us? Is what we are doing "Fruitful?" If we can say "YES" to these questions then we are on the right track. If we then remain "Faithful" we can see God do greater things through us than we could ever imagine. But we must accurately answer the questions without regard to other questsions that can skew our answers. Questions such as: what will others think if I change what I am doing at this point in my life? Will my finances change if I move to what fufills me? These are external questions that must not enter our internal dialogue until we have clear in us the vision the Lord has place in us!

I really like these thouhts and articles Dwayne. Great explanation of discovering our destiny and flowing into fulfillment and fruitfulness. Then living a life of faithfulness to the call. I believe this will answer so many questions for those serving now.
ReplyDeleteDwayne,
ReplyDeleteGood stuff, I believe the problem that most of us face, is when started something we have no idea when we are finished.... Then to started anew.........Pastor sometimes wear so many hats, they forget which one they are wearing. Is it possible to get losed in all of the visions we are wearing?
Love this Dwayne. It goes along with something else I have been thinking about for our ministers. If we don't ask the right questions and do the right things rather than just shuffle through life and ministry, we could end up like the 5 foolish virgins who weren't prepared for the opportunities when they appeared. They ended up losing out on the very thing they were living for and waiting for. I don't want that for myself or for our ministers in the PNW Fellowship.
ReplyDeleteDave,
ReplyDeleteJust found your comment. Still learning how this thing works. I think we can get lost in mulitiple visions. We often do not do the hard thinking that is needed to get "clear in us" what the Lord has called us to. Then we easily fall prey to the "trivial many" instead of begin focuses.
